Born in Odessa (Ukraine) in 1979, Irina Samobrod is a French
artist. Graduated from the Academy of Arts "USHINSKOGO" of
Odessa in 2001, she has worked several years as a artistic
director in Fashion’s World. In 2004, she moved to France to study in the Academy of Modern Arts “ERSEP” in Tourcoing until 2008. Since 2005, she has actively presented her works within France and throughout Europe attending exhibitions and working with galleries: Lille Art Fair, Gallery “CHATO” (Moscow), ... She currently lives and works in the heart of Barcelona (Spain). “I believe that Art is an idea that deliberately approaches the senses, emotions, intuitions but also the intellect. The way I choose the themes of my works is directly related to changes in my life; whether they are difficult or joyful moments, places I could attend or where I lived/live, new encounters, beautiful discoveries or just outstanding and memorable moments.” Most of her creations represent WOMEN under multiple aspects or through her favourite objects surrounding them in daily life. For Irina, the modern Women are, or should be, free, dynamic and strong, allowed to think, love and thrive! A sweet and sulphurous mix of independence and vulnerability. These are the Women that inspired her throughout her life as an artist! Whatever the medium used, the energy of her works does not let insensitive people who contemplate them…
